Prof. ZHANG Ping Honored with the 2nd Prize of the National Natural Science Prize

AMSS scientist Prof. ZHANG Ping was awarded with the 2nd prize of the National Natural Science Prize for his outstanding research achievements in his work “Several studies on equations from fluid and quantum mechanics”. The National Natural Science Prize is China's most prestigious award in natural science. The award is to recognize achievements in various fields of natural science that bring significant advancement in scientific knowledge.
 
Prof. ZHANG got his Ph.D. degree in June of 1997 and has been the full professor of AMSS since 2003. His research interests include Micro-local Analysis and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations from mathematical physics. Besides, he obtained China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists in 2005, and was awarded the China Young Scientist’s prize in 2007.
